In addition to the classes we offer here at KCBT, there are always events taking place at KCBT or in our community.  These events foster an environment of community and fellowship.

Our current events are broken down into two categories; Our current events that are taking place in or near KCBT, and current listing of missions trips that are available though KCBT and our sister churches.

2nd Annual MARS 5K Run/Walk

Date: Saturday, October 9, 2010
Time: 7:30am
Location: Race begins and ends at Zimmerman Park (KCBT Ballfield) parking lot.
Race Route: Course route will be posted shortly.
Adult (18 and older) Registration: $20 if registered by October 1 at noon. $25 from October 1 at noon – October 6 at noon. No refunds, no runner transfers.
Youth (17 and under) Registration: $10. Online registration is not available for youths; registration information is provided below. No refunds, no runner transfers.

MARS is an acronym for Missionaries Are Really Special. This second annual 5K is a fundraiser for projects that will further the gospel in Spain and Morocco.  You can run or walk the 3 mile route, which makes this a great event for the entire family. You can also participate by volunteering your time as a course worker. Please contact Thao Romero if you’d like to volunteer.

Concert: Bebo Norman

Date: Sunday, October 24, 2010
Time: 6 – 8pm
Location: KCBT Auditorium
Cost: $20.00 – Artist Circle; $15.00 – General Admission; $10.00 – Seniors, Students with valid ID, Children
Ticket Limit: 200 – Artist’s Circle, 900 – General Admission
Ticket Availability: Tickets may be purchased through the night of the event.

Corporate Prayer Ministry

Date: Every Wednesday evening
Time: 6:45 – 7:15pm
Location: Main KCBT Auditorium

Join us every Wednesday evening for a time of corporate prayer. We meet in the main KCBT auditorium to intercede for one another, lift up ministry and missions opportunities, and learn how to pray before dispersing to our LifeTrac classes. This is a great way to connect with other members of our local body and learn how God is ministering to our community. Everyone is welcome.

Those not registered for a LifeTrac class are encouraged to attend How to Study the Bible in Room 204. Due to their coursework, Beth Moore will begin at 6:45 and Isaiah will begin at 7pm. Childcare begins at 6:45pm; please contact Summer Montgomery for more information or to help with childcare.

Fall Bible Conference

Date: Sunday, October 3 – Wednesday, October 6
Service Times: 6pm Sunday, 7pm Wednesday
Service Location: KCBT Auditorium
Bible Assembly Location: Main Gymnasium
Childcare: Child care will be provided during services; see below for specific information.

We will be assembling illustrated children’s Bibles that will be routed to the middle East. Guest speakers will encourage us in our ministries to this region of the world.

Conference meetings will take place Sunday, October 3 and Wednesday, October 6 in the main KCBT auditorium. On Monday and Tuesday evenings a guest speaker will join us in the gym at 7pm and will speak while we assemble Bibles.

Ladies Movie Night

Date: Friday, September 24, 2010
Time: 7 – 9pm
Location: Looking Glass Theatre (Children’s Wing, Room 250)
Cost: Tickets available for a $2 donation at the Connections Counter. Limit: 150 ladies.
Concessions available for $1 each.

Men’s Conference

Dates/Times: Friday, September 17 from 7-9pm and Saturday, September 18 from 9am – 3:30pm
Location: KCBT Main auditorium
Conference Speaker: Dr. Neil T. Anderson
Cost: $25.00, which includes lunch on Saturday. The fee is the same even if you can only attend a portion of the sessions. Register now through September 11, 2010 at midnight.
Childcare: Childcare is not available for this event.

Pass Through Fire

Date: Friday, September 24 – Sunday, September 26, 2010
Times: Meet at KCBT parking lot at 5:30pm Friday to carpool at 6:00 pm; return to KCBT at 2pm Sunday.
Location: Polo, Missouri
Cost: None. Please register to ensure space is available.
Registration Limit: 50. Fathers/Guardians must attend with their son(s). If a father is unable to attend one of our teachers will gladly pair up with your son for the weekend.
Registration End: Wednesday, September 22, 2010 at noon.

Secret Keeper Girls

Date/Time: Friday, October 22 at 6pm – Saturday October 23, 2010 at 5pm.
Location: KCBT
Cost: None. Please register to ensure space is available.
Registration Limit: 36.  Mothers/Guardians must attend with their daughter(s). If a mother is unable to attend one of our teachers will gladly pair up with your daughter for the weekend.

Sept 12 Fellowship Changes

The opening of the new Children’s Wing allowed us to expand our adult education space on Sunday mornings. Four new ministry fellowships will begin Sunday, September 12, and several current fellowships will move to new locations.
