About Us
Updated on February 3rd, 2009 at 10:19 am,Kansas City Baptist Temple is a church for all peoples – that includes you. If you’re looking for a place where you can be challenged to a real walk with the Lord Jesus Christ, a place with cultural diversity, a place that you can call home…we welcome you. Click on any of the links in the sidebar to find out more about KCBT!
Our mission is to mold each member into the image of the Lord Jesus Christ and mobilize all to minister God’s Word to the world.
Structure of KCBT
KCBT is divided into three levels. Each level is designed to meet specific needs within the Church.
Celebration Level
Our celebration services allow us the opportunity to gather together as a body to worship and give praise to our God. Pastor Jeff Adams preaches a life-changing message from God’s Word. As we gather together in Jesus’ name, we purpose to glorify God and serve Him with our lives. Click to watch messages from our main service.
Congregational Level
In a church our size, it is impossible for the senior pastor to personally know each and every member. By breaking our membership into smaller congregations (classes) we are able to keep the small church feeling in a large group setting. These “Ministry Fellowships” are led by a member of our pastoral team. The purpose of our smaller congregations is to divide and multiply the ministry of KCBT.
Participation in a Ministry Fellowship will help you pursue your personal relationship with Christ, develop close relationships with other members of the body, and take part in the overall mission of our church. Each one offers a variety of ways for you to serve and minister at KCBT; they also provide accountability to live what you learn in God’s Word. Join a Ministry Fellowship and attend consistently for three months – you’ll find it a natural way to make new friends here at KCBT. Click to find a Ministry Fellowship you can start attending.
Cell Level
Just as the human body is made up of basic units called “cells,” so is our church body. Small Groups exist to help you establish intimate and lasting relationships within our church body. They are typically made up of members living in the same geographical location, so it’s easier to minister to one another in time of need. Please contact your Ministry Fellowship pastor for information on Small Groups!
