We have been focusing and considering God’s leading in developing a short term mission’s opportunity with Kumbeet (Great Light) Bible Baptist Church in the Seoul area. This church has a strong Student Ministries outreach to six large Universities in and around Seoul, South Korea.
Each campus has a room that is provided by the university that the church uses for bible studies, praise time, and general fellowship opportunities. We are attempting to add a conversational English element to their outreach, which would serve to bring even more students to the campus team gatherings. Korean students desire to converse with Americans to develop their speaking and writing skills in English. Over one half of the student ministry teams have been won to Christ on campus through this outreach.
A conversational setting affords them a great advantage in this area, opening a door for a college age single or a young married couple to minister for a six-month to one year commitment in South Korea. Trip funding comes from KCBT short term funds and personal fund raising.
