The Week of September 27, 2009

MONDAY—EVANGELISTIC PRAYER

September 28, 2009 Project 52:
Pray for 52,000 Bibles to be collated, cut and bound on time

John 21:12 Jesus saith unto them, Come and dine. And none of the disciples durst ask him, Who art thou? knowing that it was the Lord.

Magnificent Lord Jesus!
I pray for __________ and __________—invite them to a nearness to yourself. Help me bring them to church—to the same table, the same meal, and even sitting side by side to lean on the Savior’s bosom together.
S of S. 2:4 He brought me to the banqueting house, and his banner over me was love.
Give me union with Christ even today, because the only food I can feast on is Jesus. Reason cannot fathom how I can spiritually feed on Christ, but faith can.
John 6:56 He that eateth my flesh, and drinketh my blood, dwelleth in me, and I in him.
Give me greater fellowship with the saints, because all believers have one spiritual appetite. If we cannot all feel alike, at least we can all feed alike next Sunday at your house. Give us bread from heaven through your word.
As I get nearer to Christ, I find myself linked more and more in the Spirit to all those who are like him. If we were more near to Jesus—like spokes to the hub—we would be more unified together.
This is my source of strength. To simply look to Christ is to live, but for strength to serve I must come and dine. Dine at the table of passionate preaching. Dine at the table of dynamic discipleship. I labor under unnecessary weakness and even diseases because I have not dined and taken my nutrition!
I do not need to restrict my spiritual diet as I start this fall. On the contrary, I need to get fat on the marrow of the gospel and the word of God so I can gain strength and urge every ounce of energy to fulfill its full mission in the Master’s service. Make it so for Jesus’ sake. Amen.

TUESDAY— CORPORATE PRAYER MINISTRY

September 29, 2009 Project 52:
Pray for the shipment of finished Bibles to EPIC International

Heb. 4:16 Let us therefore come boldly unto the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy, and find grace to help in time of need.

Gracious Lord and God:
We could have been driven from your presence forever, but in prayer we stand before your throne. Make our thankfulness ascend in praise, praise that we’re even able to thank you!
We prostrate ourselves in your presence during this Bible Conference. Even when we come to pray for your own will to be done, and for the power to accomplish what you have already ordained with these Farsi Bibles, we still come humbly, meekly and sincerely. We request heaven’s help in fulfilling this earthly task. It is a prayer you want to answer, but it is an answer you wait to provide until prayed for.
Lam. 3:25-26,29 The LORD is good unto them that wait for him, to the soul that seeketh him. It is good that a man should both hope and quietly wait for the salvation of the LORD. He putteth his mouth in the dust; if so be there may be hope.
Let our pride bite the dust at the curb. Heaven obeys you cheerfully; hell trembles at you fearfully. When we come forth fulfilling the Great Commission, the Devil tries to deceive and distract, but he is already defeated by its purpose.
Job 25:5-6 Behold even to the moon, and it shineth not; yea, …the stars are not pure in his sight. How much less man, that is a worm?
You are the highest of all kings. You deserve most to be worshipped, adored, and obeyed in our lives. We are on earth while you are in heaven. Help us fulfill all your will down here, just like the shining angelic beings you created fulfill it up there. Make us bow as we should before your eternal majesty. Spirit of God, help us worship the Father in spirit. Amen.

WEDNESDAY—REVIVAL PRAYING

September 30, 2009 Project 52:
Pray for delivery & distribution of the Bibles at their final destination

Rev. 3:19 As many as I love, I rebuke and chasten: be zealous therefore, and repent.

Holy God, Holy Father:
Where I see much that I deplore, your loving eye sees much more to admire. In the eagerness of my self-analysis, I often write bitter things against myself. But you see even in those bitter self-condemnations a spiritual life of sincerity that you love. When you search my heart, you never bypass the lightest longing for you, or the dimmest desire, or the faintest faith, or the least love.
It does not say that as many as you love you praise, but as many as you love you rebuke. In that sense, it is more important for me to uncover my faults than for me to dwell on my virtues, because if I would chasten myself I need not be chastened by the Lord.
1 Cor. 11:31 For if we would judge ourselves, we should not be judged.
Rev. 2:4 Nevertheless I have somewhat against thee, because thou hast left thy first love.
When love dies, then doctrine becomes a corpse. Faith becomes powerless formalism. Spirituality becomes dead ceremony. Relationship becomes religious ritual. And even my adherence to the truth sours into prejudice and bigotry when the sweetness and light of love to Christ leaves. Legalism breeds carnality, and mere hatred of evil will turn into evil itself if the love of Jesus is not there to sanctify it. This is the type of revival I need!
If I fail in love I fail in everything. My love for Christ, because it touches at the very heart of my communion with Christ, is the crown and original essence of my spiritual life. Almost any disease can be endured except this disease of the heart. No peril can be greater than this. If I lose love I lose all. You loved me up out of the pit into your heart. Now love me into service for you. Amen.

A DAILY PATTERN FOR PRAYER & BIBLE READING

October 1, 2009 Project 52:
Pray for safety of those working cutter, binders, collating & packing

Zech. 4:7 Who art thou, O great mountain? before Zerubbabel thou shalt become a plain: and he shall bring forth the headstone thereof with shoutings, crying, Grace, grace unto it.

DON’T be discouraged with trouble in your life
He’ll bear your burdens and move all misery and strife
We’ve come this far by faith,
Leaning on the Lord:
Trusting in His Holy Word,
He’s never failed us yet.

Just the other day I heard a man say he didn’t believe in God’s word;
But I can truly say God has made a way, and He’s never failed me yet
We’ve come this far by faith,
Leaning on the Lord:
Trusting in His Holy Word,
He’s never failed us yet.

Oh, can’t turn around,
We’ve come this far by faith.

—Albert A. Goodson, 1965

FRIDAY—FOCUS ON CHRIST’S CROSS

October 2, 2009 Project 52:
Pray that we keep our eyes on the vision of reaching the whole world for Christ

Eph. 1:4 According as he hath chosen us in him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and without blame before him in love:

My Heavenly Healer:
You always loved me, even from before the foundation of the world, but your death on the cross took away the barriers that were in the way of love. You wanted, as God of love, to show love to me. You could now, as God of justice, love me to the fullest degree. That is how you bless poor sinners like me.
In this, you yourself are glorified. It is at that spot, up there on the cross where you wrought your meritorious work that saved me, that the Father gives the most honor to the Son. You had honor as God, but as man you were despised and rejected. Now as both God and man,
Heb. 10:12 But this man, after he had offered one sacrifice for sins for ever, sat down on the right hand of God;
Heb. 2:9 But we see Jesus, who was made a little lower than the angels for the suffering of death, crowned with glory and honour; that he by the grace of God should taste death for every man.
‘Tis by the merit of His death who hung upon the tree,
The Spirit is sent down to breathe on such dry bones as we.
Christ had long promised the presence of the Holy Spirit. Now he is able to perceive a new and living way by which he can come and dwell in my heart. Prior to the cross, the saints were saved on credit. They got the Spirit of God to come upon them, or even in them, but not permanently dwell with them. But now, because of the merit won by your death Jesus, the Holy Spirit is able to make me holy! He is not turned-off by my unholiness. No, he exists to provide me with holiness. Thank you Lord, for this new way to godliness by the cross. Amen.

SATURDAY—IN THE PSALMS

October 3, 2009 Project 52:
Pray God’s hand would be on our services Sunday Oct 4-Wed Oct 7

Psa. 105:24 And he increased his people greatly; and made them stronger than their enemies.

Lord God, My Almighty:
It is useless to fight against you or your people, because the more we are oppressed, the more we multiply. Your goodness to Israel called-out the hatred of Pharaoh’s court, and your goodness to me often calls-out my haters. You used that feeling of discomfort to make your people Israel ready and willing to leave Egypt. So use it to make me ready and willing to let go of the world.
When the oppression was at its worst, Moses came. You sent Joseph down to Egypt, but you sent Moses to lead them out of Egypt.  Lord, you triumphed in that hour and with an outstretched arm. Deliver me as you delivered them.
Psa. 105:39 He spread a cloud for a covering; and fire to give light in the night.
Never were people so favored as those Israelites moving forward on their journey. And never will I be so favored as when I am moving out in ministry and serving you. Nothing seems to be too good for you to give to your people when they are serving you. You are a blessing to me so I can be a blessing to others. If I stop blessing others, then my own blessing halts. I must be a conduit to others.
God my Savior, be my sun and shield, my glory and my defense. How can I be faithless when you have so graciously provided? How can I rebel when you are the light in my midnight? Preserve me from the perils of joy as well as from the evils of grief.
With Moses’ rod and your own word you split the rock in the desert. Abundant water flowed from the very place they feared dying of thirst. I know that Rock pictures the Lord. From him flows a fountain of living water. Make me a channel to deliver it to others today, for it is in Jesus’ name I pray. Amen.

Week 13

Even though rains continue to cause delays, some of the contractors were able to work in the rain this week. The plumbers and the electricians should complete all the ground rough this week, allowing us to pour the concrete floor next week if the rains will hold off. One big accomplishment this week was getting water service into the building for domestic water and sprinkler lines. Intec started the tower that will be outside the new entry; it will be just under 50 feet tall and poured in coca color concrete. The first section has been poured and the next lift section should be poured by the first of the week after the steel rebar and forms are in place.

The Point sure looks different with the building gone, dirt filling the hole and the new face well on its way! They are to put green shingles on the roof section and tan stucco on the block wall section.
